RE: Text Amendment PA-1200059, Request for Continuance
Dear Ms. Hatef:
On behalf of the Lodi Chamber of Commerce, Lodi District Grape Growers Association, San Joaquin Farm Bureau Federation, Visit Lodi! and on behalf of the Winery Ordinance Task Force members, we are respectfully requesting a 90-day continuance of the County’s currently proposed Text Amendment PA‐1200059. On July 16, 2012 a newly formed group called the Winery Ordinance Task Force (WOTF) met to discuss the County’s proposed text amendment, which resulted in mapping out future meetings to discuss preparing alternative language for the County’s consideration.
The basis of our request would allow for all the signatories and other interested parties to continue our work in developing alternatives to the language proposed by the County so that all interests may be able to find agreement for the betterment of the winery ordinance and community. This is an incredibly important issue that many have expressed the desire and opportunity to participate in the formation of solutions in a thoughtful, measured way. Please feel free to contact any one of the organizations listed below for any questions you might have, or to advise us of any further action needed by our group. Thank you for your consideration of our request.
Sincerely,
Pat Patrick
